The See Family

Indian Creek on a summer's evening. Kuna, despite being a bit on the shabby side, actually hides dozens of amazing places for photo shoots. It certainly presents an exciting creative challenge and the results are always rewarding. This particular spot along Indian Creek is an old stomping ground for my husband and his brothers so when I suggested it to my brother-in-law and sister-in-law for their family pictures, they were already familiar with the spot in question. This shoot required me to not only wade into the creek for one shot, but also climb onto my husband's shoulders for another. Both firsts in my book. Thanks to my husband, Clarke, for not only operating the reflector and carrying my bag, but also for carrying around one of my nieces who had lost her shoe, which explains all the bare feet pictures.

We adore our nieces!! They've grown up way too fast.

Michelle ~ Bridals *sneak peek*

Last week, just days before her wedding, I met Michelle in downtown Boise for some bridal portraits. She passed on the traditional "white" dress and chose a fabulous and classic champagne wedding gown. She looked stunning!

Tony + Michelle *sneak peek*

Yesterday I had the honor of photographing Tony & Michelle's wedding. They're the kind of couple who spends most of their time together laughing, happpy. We kicked off the day at the Boise Train Depot for a first look session. Here is one of my favorites...

The See Family

There is a brand-spankin' new bridge in east Boise. Its located at Bown Crossing-a well kept secret pocket of Boise, glorifying "small town" charm and hugging the Boise River. My brother-in-law is one of the engineers of the new bridge and he and his family have made Bown Crossing a favorite stop. Naturally, when it came to family pictures, the family chose the bridge and the trail that runs along the river as the location for the shoot. Combine that beautiful location with delicious, summer evening light and you've created a winning combination.

Troy + Jennifer 6.6.09

Troy & Jennifer were married at River Rock Ranch in Star, Idaho.
It poured all morning on Troy & Jenny's wedding day and since the wedding was scheduled for that afternoon and we were all crossing our crossables that we would be drenched in sunshine come time for the outdoor ceremony. Prayers were answered! The storm clouds broke just long enough for the ceremony and it was only towards the end of the evening that it began to rain....again.
Rain. In June? In Boise?? Weird!
In spite of the raindrops, the bride and groom looked stunning and the wedding was beautiful; beautiful ceremony; beautiful people; beautiful everything. Thanks for inviting me to be a part of your amazing day Troy & Jenny!

The H Family

To date, this is one of my favorite family shoots. It was the combination of a fresh location and cool family (they even brought their own chic chair for some unique and fun meadow portraits....yes, VERY COOL!). It also happened to be the warmest day this year...so far. Kudos to the family for the denim jackets. I know it was hot...but awesome pictures are so worth the sweat! And check out mom's shoes. Cutest shoes EVER!!! I had to make sure that we included some poses that adequately demonstrated the power of those shoes.

Sean

I've had the honor of knowing Sean since he was a preemie baby. He's my little brother. And a 2009 high school graduate, not to mention an outstanding singer, musician, artist, and all around great guy with a big heart. Sean has overcome multiple challenges throughout his childhood and teen years and I have absolutely no doubt that the strength and wisdom he has gained through adversity will make him an extraordinary man. Congrats on graduating little bro!

Jennifer + Troy 6.6.09 ~ Sneak Peek

On Saturday I had the pleasure of photographing Jennifer & Troy's rainy day wedding. It cleared up long enough for a sun-shiny ceremony and I captured this beautiful shot that I couldn't wait to share. What a gorgeous couple!
