Friday, January 15, 2010

I met Amy when she was about 4 years old and instantly adored her. The same afternoon, I remember playing "horsey" with Amy and her baby sister, Becca, at a family barbecue, permanently grass-staining my favorite jeans ; loving every second of it. About two months after we met, I married her uncle and became Amy's (favorite?) aunt. Now she is 12, and beautiful and talented. Amy is also a dancer and spends about four hours a day in dance class. It was an honor to photograph my niece over the holidays in her toe shoes (ouchie!) and leotard. We chose a gorgeous outdoor location. I give *kudos* to Amy for braving the 18 degree afternoon to capture these shots.
It was crazy cold but worth it!

Newborn: Miss Libby

Miss Libby was welcomed into the world on December 14th; petite and precious She is my newest niece and I could not wait to photograph her. She does not look tiny in these portraits, but I assure you, she was pint-size and awake and alert for most our session; until the very end when a clean diaper, a full belly, and a darling hat lulled her to sleep.

Giving Aunt Coco (me:) the "pinkie."

Angelic...

I love this picture! She looks like a little angel resting, dreamily, on a cloud.

My nephews, Jamin & Travis, holding a 4-second pose for this shot with their sister...

We attempted a "grandchildren" picture for a Christmas gift for my parents.
It was a miracle getting the kids to stay still and smile at the same time.
They are all smiling wildly as Nanay captured their attention from a corner of the room.
Nanay is their FAVORITE person on the planet!
